Along the C & O Canal
The Chesapeake and Ohio (C & O) Canal, first proposed by George Washington to connect the Ohio River to the port of Georgetown (now part of Washington, DC), runs parallel to the Potomac River through Point of Rocks. MD, where we live. My wife and I have walked along its towpath regularly through the years.
